Description

A refreshing grapefruit syrup perfect for beverages or desserts.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup sugar (200g)
  • 1 cup freshly squeezed grapefruit juice (240ml, approx 2 grapefruits)
  • 1 teaspoon grapefruit zest

Instructions

  1. Add all ingredients to a pot, stir, and bring nearly to the boil over a medium heat.
  2. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Remove from the heat and allow to cool slightly.
  4. Strain over a bowl to remove the zest.
  5. Pour the syrup into a clean glass jar or bottle. Seal it tightly and store it in the refrigerator. It will keep for up to 2-3 weeks.
