Description

Ingredients

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease two round cake pans and line with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time along with vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually mix in the dry ingredients alternating with milk until smooth. Gently fold in half of the raspberries.
  5. Divide the batter between prepared pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Allow cakes to cool before frosting and stacking with remaining raspberries.
