Description
This air fryer flank steak and broccoli dish is both simple and satisfying, ensuring the meat remains tender and flavorful.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, oyster sauce, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, cornstarch, and beef broth. Stir until smooth.
- Add the sliced beef to the sauce and let it marinate for about 15–20 minutes.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Toss the broccoli florets with olive oil and a pinch of pepper. Place them in the air fryer basket and cook for about 5 minutes until they begin to crisp and brighten in color.
- Remove the broccoli and set it aside.
- Add the marinated beef to the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 6–8 minutes, shaking halfway through, until the beef is cooked through and slightly caramelized on the edges.
- Finally, return the broccoli to the basket and toss everything together. Cook for an additional 2–3 minutes so the sauce thickens and coats every piece beautifully.
- When you open the air fryer, the aroma is rich and inviting.
Notes
- Thin slices ensure the meat cooks quickly and stays tender.
- Allowing the beef to marinate enhances the flavors significantly.
- The dish is best enjoyed fresh from the air fryer for optimal taste and texture.
