Description
A delicious and refreshing salad with seasoned ground beef, fresh vegetables, and a tangy sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 500 g ground beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
- 1 cup cucumber, diced
- ½ red onion, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 dill pickles, sliced
- ½ cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 1 teaspoon apple cider vinegar
- ½ teaspoon paprika
Instructions
- Cook the beef: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and break it apart with a wooden spoon. As it cooks, sprinkle in the salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Let it brown fully, stirring occasionally, until deeply golden and fragrant. This usually takes about 6–8 minutes.
- Prepare the sauce: In a small bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, apple cider vinegar, and paprika. Stir until smooth and creamy. Taste and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Assemble the bowls: Divide the chopped romaine lettuce between four bowls. Top with the warm, seasoned beef. Then layer on the cherry tomatoes, cucumber, red onion, shredded cheddar, and pickles.
- Add the finishing touch: Drizzle the sauce generously over each bowl. Serve immediately while the beef is still warm and the vegetables are crisp.
