Delicious dessert egg rolls stuffed with sweetened cream cheese and spices, served with optional sauces.

- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 8 egg roll wrappers
- 2 tbsp water
- 2 cups vegetable oil, for frying
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar, for dusting
- 1/4 cup chocolate sauce, optional for serving
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce, optional for serving
- 1/2 cup strawberry sauce, optional for serving
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add the sugar and vanilla extract, then mix until the filling is creamy and fully combined.
- Place one egg roll wrapper on a clean surface in a diamond shape.
- Spoon about 2 tablespoons of cheesecake filling into the center of the wrapper.
- Fold the bottom corner over the filling, fold in the sides, then roll tightly.
- Brush the top corner with water and press to seal the egg roll.
- Repeat with the remaining wrappers and filling.
- In a deep skillet or saucepan, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F.
- Fry the egg rolls in batches for 2 to 3 minutes, turning as needed, until golden brown and crisp.
- Transfer them to a paper towel-lined plate.
- Mix the cinnamon and sugar in a small bowl, then sprinkle or roll the warm egg rolls in the mixture.
- Dust with powdered sugar and serve warm with chocolate sauce, caramel sauce, or strawberry sauce if desired.

- Ensure the oil is at the right temperature for proper frying.
