Instructions

  1. Prep Your Bread: Start with slightly stale bread—it holds up better when soaked. Cut your bread into small, bite-sized cubes and place them in a large bowl.
  2. Make the Custard Mixture: In another bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, vanilla extract, cinnamon, maple syrup, and a pinch of salt until well combined.
  3. Soak the Bread: Pour the custard over the cubed bread and gently stir to ensure every piece is coated. Let it sit for about 10 minutes so the bread can soak up all the delicious flavor.
