- 1 box fudge brownie mix (for a 9×13-inch pan)
- eggs (ingredients listed on the box)
- oil (ingredients listed on the box)
- water (ingredients listed on the box)
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee granules
- 1 tablespoon hot water
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Preheat your oven and prepare a 9×13-inch baking pan. Line it with parchment paper for easy lifting later.
- Mix the brownie batter according to the instructions on the box — combining eggs, oil, and water with the mix — and pour it into your pan. Bake until the brownies are set and the edges pull slightly away from the pan. Let them cool completely before moving to the next layer.
- While your brownies cool, dissolve the instant coffee in a tablespoon of hot water. Let it sit and cool slightly.
- In a medium mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until creamy. Gradually add powdered sugar, followed by the dissolved coffee, milk, and vanilla extract. Beat until smooth and fluffy. Spread this layer evenly over the cooled brownies.
- Place the pan in the fridge to firm up while you prepare the ganache.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, heat the chocolate chips and heavy cream together in short bursts (15–20 seconds), stirring in between, until melted and smooth. Let it cool for a few minutes, then pour the ganache over the coffee cream layer and gently spread it to cover the surface.
- Chill the entire pan again for at least 30 minutes to let everything set beautifully.
- Once firm, slice into squares and enjoy!

- The coffee cream layer should have a gentle coffee aroma.
