- 4 medium starchy potatoes (Russets), peeled and grated
- 200g high-quality smoked salmon, sliced
- 100g crème fraîche
- 2 tablespoons fresh dill, chopped
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Squeeze excess moisture from grated potatoes using a clean kitchen towel.
- In a bowl, combine grated potatoes with salt, pepper, and optional garlic powder.
- Heat olive oil in a nonstick skillet over medium heat.
- Form small patties from the potato mixture and fry until golden brown, about 5 minutes per side.
- Layer each rosti with slices of smoked salmon, dollops of crème fraîche, and garnish with fresh dill.
Notes
- These rostis can be prepared in advance and reheated when serving.
- Feel free to add additional herbs for extra flavor.
